It is also used to treat myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases (abnormal growth of blood cells), Hypereosinophilic syndrome and chronic eosinophilic leukaemia (blood disease), gastrointestinal stromal tumours (stomach and bowel cancer) and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (cancer in the tissue beneath the skin). Do not take Imatinate 100mg Capsule if you are allergic to Imatinib or any other ingredients of this medicine. Before initiating treatment, inform your physician if you have kidney, heart, or liver problems, if you have thyroid problems, or if your thyroid gland has been removed. Notify your doctor if you have ever had or have a hepatitis B infection because this medicine could cause hepatitis B to become active again. Report any bruising, bleeding, fever, fatigue, and confusion symptoms when taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
