Product Introduction
Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml is an immunostimulant containing the active ingredient human normal immunoglobulin, which belongs to the class of immunoglobulin derivatives. It is used as replacement therapy for patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders (PIDs), in which the body's immune system cannot produce sufficient antibodies to combat infections. The medication is also used to modulate or regulate the immune system in certain autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. It can help reduce excessive inflammation and suppress abnormal immune responses.
This drug is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to human immunoglobulin or its components. Blood clots may develop during treatment with Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml; blood viscosity monitoring and adequate hydration are therefore recommended. Patients with selective IgA deficiency face a risk of developing antibodies against IgA. In such cases, normal human immunoglobulin should be used with caution or avoided altogether. Inform your physician if you have a history of IgA deficiency.
After receiving Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml, a temporary decrease in white blood cell concentration may occur—a condition termed neutropenia (low neutrophil count)—which typically resolves spontaneously within a week. Use is not recommended for children younger than 12 years, as the effects of human immunoglobulin in this population remain unknown. Normal human immunoglobulin may interfere with the effectiveness of live attenuated vaccines. Live vaccines should be avoided for a certain period following administration of this drug.
Overdose of Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml may lead to fluid overload, particularly in patients with pre-existing heart failure or compromised renal function. Patients with such conditions require careful monitoring during infusion. Inform your doctor of any cardiac, thyroid, kidney, or liver disease. Your physician may prescribe a low dose and perform regular blood tests. Use of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be discussed with your physician.
Uses
Uses of Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml: Primary immunodeficiency disease (PID) Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) Multifocal motor neuropathy
How it works
Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml works by restoring the immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies. It directly binds to the Fc fragment-specific receptors and acts against inflammatory mediators. It induces cell death in B and T cells, eventually reducing inflammation and the severity of infections. It functions by replenishing the antibodies that are lacking in order to combat infections and inflammation.
How to Use
Immunorel 0.5gm Injection 10ml is usually administered through a vein (intravenously) by your physician in a hospital setting. It will be infused into your body gradually at first. After then, your doctor might progressively raise the infusion rate.Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, blood viscosity and other disease conditions.
