Conditions: Anti Cancer

Product Introduction

Indenza 160mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Enzalutamide, an antineoplastic drug classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. It is used to treat advanced prostate cancer in patients with inadequate response to surgical or hormonal treatments. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

During treatment, your doctor may arrange periodic Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing. This blood test measures PSA levels, a protein produced by the prostate gland that may be elevated in men with prostate cancer. PSA monitoring helps assess disease progression and treatment response. Additional investigations include liver function tests and complete blood count (CBC) to prevent serious complications.

This medicine can cause seizures. Patients with a history of seizures should exercise caution when taking this medication. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice during treatment, as these can increase drug levels in the body.

This drug is not recommended during pregnancy as it causes harm to the foetus and causes fertility issues. Inform your doctor about any fertility concerns before starting treatment. Before beginning this treatment, tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby. Both men and women should follow appropriate contraceptive methods during treatment and for 3 months after the last dose of Indenza 160mg Tablet.

Uses

Indenza 160mg Tablet is used in the treatment of the following: Advanced prostate cancer

How it works

It works by inhibiting the active form of testosterone, called dihydrotestosterone. It selectively blocks the androgen receptors and disrupts the translocation of signals from the receptor to the cell. Thus, the androgen hormone does not bind to the androgen receptors and these androgen receptors do not interact with DNA. This blocks the functioning of cancer cells and reduces its multiplication.
