Product Introduction

Inflitza 25mg capsule contains midostaurin, an anti-cancer medicine belonging to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It is used in combination with other chemotherapy medications to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults with FLT3 gene defects. Acute myeloid leukaemia is a cancer that begins in myeloid cells, a type of white blood cell, where the body abnormally produces excess numbers of these cells. The medicine is also used in adults to treat aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated haematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), or mast cell leukaemia (MCL).

Do not take Inflitza capsule if you are allergic to midostaurin or any other ingredients in this medicine. Inform your healthcare professional if you have any symptoms of infection, heart disorder, lung problems, or breathing difficulties. If you experience any of the following symptoms after taking the medicine—fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, cough with or without sputum, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or body swelling—report them immediately to your doctor.

This medicine is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy before starting therapy. Inflitza 25mg capsule may reduce fertility in both men and women; discuss this with your doctor before beginning treatment.

The most common side effects of this medicine are fever with reduced blood cell counts, nausea, vomiting, headache, musculoskeletal pain, increased blood glucose levels, and respiratory tract infection.
