Colorectal cancer occurs predominantly in age groups above 50 years and is associated with genetic and environmental factors.

Myelosuppression (bone marrow suppression resulting in reduced levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets) and diarrhea are the most frequently observed adverse effects. Other common side effects include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, anaemia, pain, fatigue, fever, infections including sepsis, abnormal bilirubin levels, alopecia, and weight loss. Inform your doctor if these side effects cause concern or persist.

Notify your doctor if you have chronic inflammatory bowel disease, bowel obstruction, or have received any live vaccines. Inform your physician if you have a known allergy to Inotad 40mg Injection or any of its ingredients. Prior to commencing treatment, disclose to your physician any history of liver problems or jaundice, kidney or cardiac problems, asthma, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, or severe diarrhea. Report any current smoking status or prior radiation therapy to your healthcare provider. Inform your healthcare provider of all concurrent medications, herbal preparations, and supplements.

Effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is essential to prevent pregnancy. Your physician will conduct blood tests before and during treatment to monitor the effects of Inotad 40mg Injection on blood counts and blood chemistry parameters.

Uses

Treatment of metastatic cancer of the colon and rectum (large intestine).

How it works

Inotad 40mg Injection works by converting its active metabolite with the help of liver enzymes and inhibits the Topoisomerase I enzyme. This causes damage to the DNA synthesis and its replication, thus preventing the cancer cells from growing and spreading.

How to Use

Take this medicine exactly as prescribed. Your healthcare professional administers it into your vein. Do not self-administer. Your physician will recommend a DNA test before taking this medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.
