Product Introduction
Inramed 5mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Midodrine. This medication is primarily used to treat low blood pressure (hypotension). It belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha-1 adrenergic agonists, which constrict blood vessels and increase blood pressure. Inramed 5mg Tablet is commonly prescribed for conditions such as orthostatic hypotension, a form of low blood pressure that occurs when standing up from a seated or lying position. It helps to improve symptoms such as lightheadedness, dizziness, and fainting associated with this condition. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with severe kidney impairment or end-stage renal disease. Dosing adjustments may be necessary to prevent the accumulation of the drug or its metabolites. Do not take this medication if you have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Inramed 5mg Tablet or its components. Before taking it, inform your doctor if you have difficulty in urinating, cardiac diseases, eye problems resulting from diabetes, tumours in the adrenal glands, enlarged prostate, severe kidney disease, high blood pressure, slow pulse, and thyroid disorders. Inramed 5mg Tablet should not be used in patients with severe heart conditions, such as unstable angina, congestive heart failure, or recent myocardial infarction (heart attack). The medication can increase cardiac workload and may not be well-tolerated in these cases.
Uses
Treatment of orthostatic hypotension (low BP when a person stands up from a seated or lying)
How it works
The therapeutic effect of Inramed 5mg Tablet is to increase blood pressure in individuals with low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension. Acting as an alpha-1 adrenergic agonist and constricting blood vessels, helps to raise peripheral vascular resistance and improve blood flow to vital organs, particularly the brain. This medication enhances blood pressure and offers a therapeutic benefit by improving quality of life, functional capacity, and cognitive function in individuals with orthostatic hypotension.
How to Use
Inramed 5mg Tablet is taken orally as a tablet and should be taken with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water and not crushed, chewed, or opened. The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the individual's condition and response to the medication and should be determined by a healthcare provider.

Expert Tips
It is advised to use caution when using Inramed 5mg Tablet in individuals with pre-existing heart conditions, as it may worsen symptoms.
