Conditions: Anemia

Product Introduction

Intafer IV 100mg Injection contains Iron (III) Isomaltoside as the active ingredient and belongs to the anti-anemic medicine class. It is used as an iron replacement therapy to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults who are intolerant to oral iron or have shown inadequate response to oral iron preparations. The medicine also treats this condition in patients with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis and cannot receive oral iron supplementation. Due to limited safety and efficacy data, Intafer IV 100mg Injection is not recommended for use in individuals under 18 years of age, including children and adolescents.

Do not use Intafer IV 100mg Injection if you are allergic to Iron (III) Isomaltoside or any ingredient in the formulation. Avoid this medicine if your anemia is not caused by iron deficiency (such as haemolytic anemia), if you have iron overload or impaired iron utilisation, or if you have a history of severe allergic reactions to other injectable iron preparations and active liver disease.

Before receiving Intafer IV 100mg Injection, inform your doctor if you have a history of medicine allergy, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, or severe asthma. Also notify your doctor if you have eczema, other allergies, an ongoing bacterial infection in your blood, or reduced liver function.
