Invokana 100mg tablet contains the active substance canagliflozin, which belongs to the group of blood-glucose-lowering drugs. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes in adults. Type 2 diabetes occurs when your body does not use insulin properly or make enough, causing excessive sugar in your blood, which can lead to serious complications such as heart disease, kidney disease, blindness, and amputation. This medicine can be used alone or in combination with other medicines you may be taking to treat your type 2 diabetes.
