Product Introduction
Isotret 20mg Capsule contains Isotretinoin, a retinoid medicine derived from vitamin A. It is primarily prescribed to treat severe acne that has not responded to other acne treatments. Acne develops when hair follicles become blocked with excess oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells, leading to pimples, nodules, and cysts. Isotret 20mg Capsule works by reducing oil production in the skin, preventing clogged pores, and helping to improve severe acne over time.
Do not take Isotret 20mg Capsule if you are allergic to Isotretinoin or any of its ingredients. It should also be avoided if you are taking vitamin A supplements, tetracycline antibiotics, or other retinoid medicines, as these combinations may increase the risk of serious side effects. This medicine is not recommended for individuals with liver disease, elevated cholesterol or triglyceride levels, excessive vitamin A levels (hypervitaminosis A), or those currently receiving tetracycline treatment.
Since this capsule contains soya bean oil, people with peanut or soya allergies should avoid using it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of depression, mood disorders, anxiety, or aggressive behaviour, as Isotretinoin may affect mental health in some individuals. Patients with existing liver problems should discuss their condition with their healthcare provider before starting treatment.
Isotret 20mg Capsule must not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding because it can cause serious birth defects. Women of childbearing age should use reliable contraception during treatment and continue using it for at least one month after the last dose. Inform your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant before starting this medication.
If you have an intolerance or allergy to certain sugars, let your doctor know, as this medicine contains sorbitol. Isotret 20mg Capsule is not intended for the treatment of pubertal acne and should not be used in children younger than 12 years.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe side effects such as persistent fever, chest pain, back pain, breathing difficulties, or any other unusual symptoms while taking Isotret 20mg Capsule. Always use this medicine exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional for the safest and most effective treatment.
