Consumption of alcohol—including alcoholic beverages, medications containing alcohol, mouthwashes, or food preparations—during and up to five days after Ivaperox S administration can result in a disulfiram-like reaction characterised by flushing, sweating, headache, and increased heart rate. Alcohol should be avoided during this period.

How it works
Ivaperox S 1.5gm Injection is an antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria. Sulbactam, the beta-lactamase inhibitor, helps inactivate the beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain bacteria. These enzymes prevent the breakdown of cefoperazone, enhancing its effectiveness against resistant bacteria.

It will be given as an intravenous infusion or intramuscular Injection, and you will be monitored carefully for unwanted side effects.
