Product Introduction

Jakavi 5mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Ruxolitinib and belongs to the class of kinase inhibitors. It is an anticancer medication used to treat myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow disorder that disrupts normal blood cell production. It is also prescribed for polycythemia vera, a condition where the body produces excess red blood cells, particularly in patients with inadequate response to hydroxyurea. Additionally, Jakavi 5mg tablet is approved for GVHD (Graft versus Host Disease) in adults and children aged 12 years and above who have shown inadequate response to steroid or systemic therapies. The Jakavi 5mg dosage for myelofibrosis is determined by the treating physician based on body weight, blood counts, and treatment response. It works by blocking abnormal signalling pathways that drive excessive cell growth, helping to reduce symptoms such as spleen enlargement and fatigue. Patients should avoid this medication if allergic to Ruxolitinib or any components. Inform your doctor if you have a history of tuberculosis, hepatitis B or C, liver or kidney disease, or low blood cell counts. Common side effects include dizziness, headache, swelling, bruising, and reduced platelet levels. Notify your doctor immediately if you experience persistent bleeding or infection. Jakavi 5mg Tablet pricing in India may vary by pharmacy or region. Patients can obtain Jakavi 5mg Tablet online from verified sources to ensure authenticity. If unavailable, your doctor may recommend an alternative such as Ruxolix, though both have similar efficacy and composition. Jakavi is used in haematology for managing complex blood and bone marrow disorders.
