Product Introduction

Jollimex 50mg Capsule is an antiarrhythmic medication containing mexiletine. It is used to treat irregular heart rhythms, known as arrhythmias. The medication also helps manage symptoms of myotonia in adults with non-dystrophic myotonic disorders, which result from genetic defects affecting muscle function. These disorders stem primarily from muscle-related symptoms rather than specific types of muscular dystrophy. Myotonia refers to a condition in which muscles have difficulty relaxing after contraction, leading to stiffness or delayed muscle relaxation.

This drug is contraindicated in patients who have experienced a heart attack (myocardial infarction). Before starting treatment with Jollimex 50mg Capsule, inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems; low or high potassium blood levels; low magnesium blood levels; or epilepsy. This drug affects the nervous system and must be used cautiously in patients with seizure disorders. Do not take this medicine if you have an allergy to any local anesthetics, a class of medications that numb specific body areas. Use of this drug is not advised for children and adults under 18 years of age.

While taking this medicine, reducing your caffeine intake by half is recommended. Jollimex 50mg Capsule can increase caffeine levels in your blood. High caffeine levels may lead to side effects including jitteriness, increased heart rate, and other adverse effects. Reducing caffeine intake helps prevent these interactions.

Inform your physician if you are pregnant, suspect pregnancy, or are planning to become pregnant. This drug can pass into breast milk. Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with this drug.
