Product Introduction

K Stall Powder is a potassium binder containing calcium polystyrene sulphonate. It is indicated for the treatment of hyperkalemia—a condition characterised by excessive potassium levels in the blood—associated with anuria or severe oliguria. It may also be used to reduce potassium levels in patients undergoing regular dialysis for the management of kidney failure.

Oral administration of K Stall Powder is contraindicated in neonates due to their immature gastrointestinal system and reduced gut motility, which increase the risk of gastrointestinal complications including intestinal obstruction and perforation.

Magnesium-containing laxatives should not be used concurrently with this powder. Caution is advised if you are allergic to this powder or any of its ingredients. K Stall Powder should be avoided in patients with intestinal obstruction, thyroid disorders, or elevated blood calcium levels.

Excessive use of this powder may reduce blood potassium levels below the normal range, potentially resulting in symptoms such as muscle weakness, irritability, and confusion. K Stall Powder should be used with caution and only under the supervision of a healthcare professional, as it may exacerbate these conditions or interact with other medications used in their treatment.
