Product Introduction

Kalcord Capsule contains the active ingredient calcitriol. It is indicated for the treatment of conditions affecting calcium and bone metabolism. Regulation of calcium and phosphorus levels, promotion of bone health, and support of overall bodily functions are important therapeutic goals. Kalcord Capsule is used in hypocalcaemia (low blood calcium), hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone), chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis (weakened bones), rickets, osteomalacia (softening of bones), psoriasis, and secondary hyperparathyroidism (imbalanced calcium metabolism). It may assist in managing parathyroid hormone levels and associated complications. Additional potential benefits include support of immune function, cancer prevention, cardiovascular health, diabetes management, mood regulation, muscle strength, and autoimmune conditions. Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to calcitriol or any medication containing calcitriol should avoid use and inform their healthcare provider immediately. This medication should be avoided in patients with hypercalcaemia (high blood calcium levels), vitamin D toxicity, malabsorption syndromes, and elevated levels of vitamin D metabolites. In children, Kalcord Capsule is used for conditions such as rickets or growth-related issues. In older adults, it may be used to support bone health and prevent fractures. Dosage and monitoring are carefully managed by healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use in these age groups.
