Product Introduction

Keflocort 6mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Deflazacort, a synthetic glucocorticoid steroid medication. It is used to treat inflammation, allergies, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers by suppressing the immune system and reducing inflammatory responses. The medicine is particularly indicated in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder characterised by progressive muscle weakness and wasting. In patients with DMD, Deflazacort may improve muscle strength and delay disease progression.

Seek immediate medical attention if you develop chickenpox or measles during treatment. Inform your healthcare provider of any sensitivity to Deflazacort or other components of this formulation before commencing therapy. Live or attenuated vaccines should not be administered during treatment with this medicine. Patients with diabetes require notification to their healthcare provider, as blood glucose monitoring may need to be intensified and diabetes medications may require adjustment during therapy. If surgery is planned, discuss with your healthcare provider the appropriate timing for discontinuing Keflocort 6mg Tablet and resuming treatment post-operatively.
