Kocitaf Tablet

Kocitaf Tablet is a combination antiretroviral medication containing dolutegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide. Dolutegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI). Emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI). Tenofovir alafenamide is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NtRTI). This combination is used with other medicines to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection in adults and adolescents aged 12 years who weigh at least 35 kg. The single tablet regimen reduces the number of pills patients must take daily, which simplifies treatment and improves medication adherence by helping individuals take their prescribed medication consistently as scheduled.

Do not take Kocitaf Tablet if you are allergic to it or any of its components. Regular HIV infection testing is necessary while using this medicine. Missing a dose increases the risk of HIV infection. This medicine does not prevent other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Patients should inform their physician if they have liver problems or liver disease, including hepatitis, or kidney and bone problems. This medication is not recommended for children aged 11 years or under.
