Product Introduction
Labepress 100mg Tablet is an antihypertensive medication belonging to the class of non-cardioselective beta blockers, containing labetalol as the active ingredient. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and may be prescribed for certain cardiac conditions. This medication is particularly useful in managing hypertensive emergencies, including severe hypertension during pregnancy. Contact your physician immediately if you experience allergic reactions to this drug or any of its ingredients. Labepress 100mg Tablet may worsen bronchospasm and respiratory function in patients with asthma or severe COPD. Use with caution in such cases. This medication is primarily used to lower blood pressure but may also affect heart rate. It may cause bradycardia (slow heart rate), particularly in patients with preexisting heart rhythm disorders. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is important during treatment. Inform your doctor or surgeon about this medication before any surgical procedure. This drug may interact with anaesthesia and other medications used during surgery, potentially affecting blood pressure control. Patients with impaired liver function may experience elevated drug levels, as the liver metabolises this medicine. Dose adjustments may be necessary for these patients. Labepress 100mg Tablet may affect blood glucose levels and can mask some signs of hypoglycaemia. Close monitoring of blood glucose levels is important for patients with diabetes taking this medicine, and adjustments in antidiabetic medications may be required. Avoid breastfeeding while on this medication, as the drug passes into breast milk. Inform your physician of all other medications you are taking before using over-the-counter or herbal products. Your doctor will evaluate the risk of drug interactions with this medication.
Uses
Treats hypertension
How it works
Labepress 100mg Tablet works by blocking beta-1 adrenergic receptors and reduces the effects of the hormone adrenaline (epinephrine) on the heart. This results in decreased heart rate and force of contraction, leading to a reduction in cardiac output. By reducing the workload on the heart, this medicine helps lower blood pressure.
How to Use
Take the Labepress 100mg Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the tablet if your doctor advises you to stop.

Expert Tips
Labepress 100mg Tablet can cause a drop in blood pressure when changing positions (orthostatic hypotension), leading to dizziness or lightheadedness. To minimize this, rise slowly from lying down or sitting positions. Along with medication, lifestyle modifications can help manage blood pressure. These may include maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, managing stress, limiting alcohol consumption, and avoiding tobacco products.
