Product Introduction

Lacoptal 100mg Tablet contains Lacosamide, an antiepileptic medicine used to control and prevent partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged 1 month and older. It is also prescribed in combination with other antiepileptic medications for the treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children aged 4 years and above. Lacoptal 100mg Tablet is frequently used as an add-on therapy when existing seizure medications do not provide adequate seizure control, helping to improve seizure management and reduce seizure frequency.

This medicine should be taken exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not use Lacoptal 100mg Tablet if you are allergic to Lacosamide or any of its ingredients. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of heart rhythm disorders, kidney or liver disease, or any other significant medical condition. Some people may experience mild side effects such as dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, blurred vision, or headache, which often improve as the body adjusts to the medication. Since Lacoptal 100mg Tablet may affect alertness, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Although uncommon, there is a potential risk of misuse or dependence, particularly in individuals with a history of alcohol or substance abuse. Always take this medicine in the prescribed dose and duration, and never increase or stop the medication without consulting your doctor, as sudden discontinuation may worsen seizures.
