Product Introduction

Lacosam 15mg Syrup 200ml contains lacosamide as its active component. It is an anticonvulsant medication indicated for treatment of partial-onset seizures (seizures affecting one part of the brain) in adults and children 1 month of age and older. It is also used in combination with other medications to control primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures (formerly called grand mal seizures, which involve the entire body) in adults and children 4 years and older. Lacosam syrup 15mg is frequently prescribed as add-on therapy, used alongside other antiepileptic medications, when current drugs provide insufficient seizure control. This makes it a valuable treatment option for patients with inadequate seizure control on their existing medications alone. Syp Lacosam 15mg should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug or its components. Allergic reactions may be severe, with symptoms including rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, and difficulty breathing. It is generally well-tolerated by many patients, and side effects, though possible, are not experienced universally. Common side effects such as dizziness and nausea are typically mild and may diminish over time. Lacosam syrup 200 ml should be used with caution in patients with a history of heart rhythm problems. It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, and blurred vision. While this medication may benefit many individuals, there exists a potential risk of addiction. This risk may be heightened in patients with a history of substance use disorder involving excessive use or dependency on drugs or alcohol. To prevent complications, it is essential to follow the prescribed dosage strictly and refrain from increasing the dose, taking it more frequently, or extending the duration of use beyond what your healthcare provider recommends.
