Lagmitaf Tablet

Lagmitaf Tablet is an antiretroviral medication containing Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide as active ingredients. It is used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection, a condition in which the human immunodeficiency virus attacks and weakens a person's immune system. This infection progressively weakens immune function, making patients more susceptible to opportunistic infections. Do not take Lagmitaf Tablet if you are allergic to Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, Tenofovir Alafenamide, or any other ingredients in the formulation. During the early stages of HIV-1 treatment, some patients may experience an inflammatory response to opportunistic infections, a condition known as immune reconstitution syndrome. This can occur after starting Lagmitaf Tablet or other antiretroviral therapies. It is necessary to be aware of this possibility and monitor for signs of worsening infections or inflammatory symptoms. Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart failure, pancreatitis, bone disease, fractures, or liver or kidney problems. Patients with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should use this combination medication cautiously. During treatment with Lagmitaf Tablet, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, and liver and kidney function to prevent serious complications. Adults of childbearing potential should consider using an effective contraceptive to prevent unwanted pregnancy. If you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant, your doctor may suggest an alternative treatment, as this combination regimen is not recommended during early pregnancy. Breastfeeding is not recommended due to the possible transmission of HIV-1 infection from mother to child. Inform your doctor about all your medications, including prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements, to ensure there are no potential interactions.

Lagmitaf Tablet combine integrase strand transfer inhibitors and nucleoside, nucleotide analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It increases the number of CD4 T cells and stimulates the immune system to fight against infections. Thereby, it reduces the viral load of HIV in the blood and decreases the severity of HIV infection.

Take the Lagmitaf Tablet as advised by your physician. Swallow the tablets whole and intact. This tablet should be taken with food. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct lagmitaf tablet dose and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking the medicine if your doctor advises you to stop.

Lagmitaf Tablet side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Although all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Do not share needles, syringes, or personal items like toothbrushes and razors, as these can transmit HIV through blood or body fluids. Always practise safe sex and use a latex or polyurethane condom to reduce the risk of infection. If you miss a dose, take your usual dose the next day, but never take a double dose. Store the tablets in a dry place, away from moisture, and keep them in a tightly closed container. Do not use this medicine for other conditions or share it with others, even if they have similar symptoms.
