Lanvis 40mg Tablet contains thioguanine as the active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of blood disorders and cancers, including acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Acute myelogenous leukemia is a rapidly progressing disorder characterised by increased production of white blood cells by the bone marrow, which can lead to infections and bleeding. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) involves accumulation of immature white blood cells resulting from abnormal white blood cell production in the bone marrow. This condition occurs more frequently in children below 5 years of age. In clinical studies, Lanvis 40mg Tablet has demonstrated a relatively low risk of nausea and vomiting compared with other chemotherapy drugs. Because it is administered orally, it may offer greater convenience for patients than intravenous chemotherapy. Patients taking Lanvis 40mg Tablet should avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as this can interfere with the drug's metabolism and increase the risk of side effects.
