Product Introduction

Lastet 100mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing Etoposide. It is classified as a cytostatic agent and is indicated for the treatment of certain cancers including testicular cancer, small-cell lung cancer, acute myeloid leukaemia (blood cancer), lymphatic system tumours (Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), and ovarian cancer in adults. Inform your doctor if you are currently receiving or have recently received radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Notify your doctor of any active infections or low blood protein (albumin) levels. Lastet 100mg Injection should not be administered if you have recently received yellow fever vaccination or any live vaccines. Prior to commencing treatment, it is essential to inform your physician of any history of kidney problems or liver disorders. Both men and women should employ effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months following the final dose. Men are advised to avoid fathering a child during treatment and for up to 6 months after completion. It is recommended to discuss fertility concerns with your doctor. Administration of Lastet 100mg Injection may result in reduced blood cell levels and increased infection risk. Your doctor may order regular blood tests to monitor kidney and liver function. Safety in paediatric patients has not been established.

How it works

Lastet 100mg works by inhibiting the activity of topoisomerase II (essential for cell replication) and DNA synthesis, which will prevent cancer cells from growing and multiplying, ultimately leading to cell death.

Lastet 100mg injection is administered as an intravenous infusion into the vein. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administrate. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.
