Product Introduction

Laviat 10mg Capsule is an immunomodulatory agent containing lenalidomide. It is indicated for treatment of adults with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a malignancy of plasma cells predominant in the bone marrow; these cells accumulate and proliferate uncontrollably in the bone marrow. Although this cancer cannot be cured, symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic syndrome comprises a group of blood and bone marrow disorders characterised by abnormal blood cell development and impaired function. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common lymph node malignancy. Follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer affecting B cells. Common side effects associated with Laviat 10mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, muscle cramps, tiredness, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, and thyroid and skin problems. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects cause concern or persist. Inform your doctor of any allergic reactions to Laviat 10mg Capsule and its ingredients. Before beginning treatment, inform your physician if you have a history of blood clots, heart attack, smoking, high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol levels. Inform your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster or HIV. Your healthcare provider will conduct regular blood tests before and during treatment as this medication may cause reduction in blood cell counts. Use is not recommended in children below 18 years of age.
