Product Introduction
Ledikast Tablet contains the antiviral combination of Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir, which is prescribed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults and children aged 3 years and older. These direct-acting antiviral agents work by blocking the replication of the hepatitis C virus, helping eliminate the infection and reducing the risk of serious liver complications, including cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer. The main objective of treatment is to achieve a sustained virologic response (SVR), indicating successful clearance of the virus from the body.
Take Ledikast Tablet exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Ledipasvir, Sofosbuvir, or any of its ingredients. Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, decompensated cirrhosis, hepatitis B infection, HIV infection, diabetes, are awaiting a liver transplant, or have any other liver-related condition, as these may require additional monitoring or dose adjustments. Regular blood tests may be performed before, during, and after treatment to assess liver function and confirm the effectiveness of therapy. Patients with diabetes should monitor their blood glucose levels closely, as this medicine may increase the risk of hypoglycaemia and require changes to diabetes medication. Breastfeeding is generally not recommended during treatment because it is not known whether the medicine passes into breast milk. Ledikast Tablet is not recommended for children younger than 3 years of age. Since this medicine can interact with prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, vitamins, and herbal supplements, always inform your healthcare provider about all the medications you are taking before starting treatment.
