Product Introduction
Ledomid 5mg Capsule belongs to the group of immunomodulatory agents and contains lenalidomide as its active ingredient. It is indicated for the treatment of adults with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is a malignancy of plasma cells predominant in the bone marrow, where these cells accumulate and proliferate uncontrollably. Although this cancer cannot be cured, symptoms may be alleviated with treatment. Myelodysplastic syndrome represents a group of blood and bone marrow disorders in which blood cells become abnormal and do not function appropriately. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common lymphoid malignancy affecting the lymph nodes. Follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer affecting B cells. Common side effects associated with Ledomid 5mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, muscle cramps, tiredness, fever, cough, headache, back pain, breathlessness, rashes and thyroid and skin problems. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects cause concern or persist. Inform your doctor of any allergic reactions to Ledomid 5mg Capsule or its ingredients. Before commencing treatment with this medication, notify your physician if you have a history of blood clots, heart attack, smoking, high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol levels. Inform your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster or HIV.
