Product Introduction

Lefra 20mg Tablet is an antirheumatic medication belonging to the class of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). It contains Leflunomide as its active ingredient and is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the joints. Lefra 20mg Tablet is also used in psoriatic arthritis, an inflammatory arthritis that develops in some individuals with psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis affects the joints and may cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and reduced range of motion.

Lefra 20mg Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Leflunomide or any of its components. Prior to initiating Lefra 20mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have a history of interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis, skin ulcers, unexplained chronic diarrhoea, or liver or kidney problems. Your doctor may conduct certain tests for further evaluation and may prescribe a reduced dose if clinically appropriate.

Certain vaccinations may not be recommended during treatment with this medication, as it can affect immune system function and may compromise vaccine effectiveness or safety. This drug persists in the body for an extended period following discontinuation. Discuss vaccination plans with your doctor before beginning treatment.

If you are currently experiencing a severe infection, it may be necessary to delay or defer initiation of Lefra 20mg Tablet treatment until the infection has resolved. This medication is contraindicated during pregnancy due to potential harmful effects on a developing fetus and may be present in breast milk. Concurrent consumption of alcohol while taking this medication can increase hepatic stress and may lead to liver toxicity or related complications. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during the course of treatment.
