While this malignancy cannot be cured, symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic syndrome comprises a group of blood and bone marrow disorders in which blood cells become abnormal and fail to function properly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common malignancy affecting the lymph nodes. Follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing malignancy affecting B cells.
