Lenitine 1gm Injection belongs to the class of amino acids and contains levocarnitine as its active ingredient. It is used to treat carnitine deficiency in adults, children, infants, and newborns. The injection is also indicated for prevention and treatment of carnitine deficiency in patients with end-stage renal disease undergoing dialysis. Carnitine deficiency occurs when the body has insufficient levocarnitine. This medicine replenishes the protein and helps provide energy to the body.
Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor of all existing medical conditions. Do not use Lenitine 1gm Injection if you have an allergy to levocarnitine or any other component of the medicine. Discuss with your doctor prior to use if you have severe kidney problems or are undergoing dialysis. Additionally, inform your doctor if you have diabetes and use insulin or other diabetes medications, or if you are taking anticoagulant medicines such as warfarin or other blood clot-reducing drugs.
