Lenvat 10mg Capsule contains the active ingredient Lenvatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is indicated for progressive or advanced thyroid cancer when radioactive iodine therapy is not beneficial. It is also used to treat previously untreated hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) in patients who are not eligible for surgical treatment. Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma, an advanced form of thyroid cancer, typically occurs in patients above 60 years of age. It presents with an enlarged and hard thyroid gland and hoarseness in the voice due to paralysis of the nerve in the voice box. Hepatocellular carcinoma develops due to preexisting liver conditions such as cirrhosis or chronic hepatitis B infection. Patients with a history of allergic reaction to Lenvatinib or any component of this formulation should not take this medication.
