Product Introduction
Letall 2.5mg is an anti-cancer medication belonging to the aromatase inhibitor class. It is indicated as adjuvant therapy following primary treatment, or as first-line therapy, for postmenopausal women with early-stage and advanced breast cancer whose tumours are hormone receptor-positive. Because elevated oestrogen levels are associated with breast cancer development, this medicine lowers female reproductive hormone levels by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme responsible for oestrogen production. The medication aims to slow or arrest tumour growth and prevent spread to other body sites. Inform your physician if you have not yet reached menopause, as this medicine is ineffective in premenopausal women. Because this medicine reduces female reproductive hormone levels, it is not recommended for menstruating women due to the risk of fertility impairment. Monitor your cholesterol levels regularly, as this medicine may elevate cholesterol. Letall 2.5mg may also decrease bone mineral density; discuss with your physician and consider regular monitoring of bone parameters. Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 3 weeks after the final dose.
Uses
First and second-line treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Supportive to standard treatment for postmenopausal women with early breast cancer. Treatment for unknown advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Extended supportive therapy for postmenopausal women with early breast cancer who have already taken other anti-cancer medication.
How it works
The growth of some cancers of breasts are stimulated by estrogens. Letall 2.5mg Tablet is a nonsteroidal compound that inhibits estrogen production by blocking the enzyme aromatase. This medicine reduces the tumor size and stops or slows the progression of the disease, avoiding the reoccurring of early-stage breast cancer and improving the survival rate.
