Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg Injection

Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg injection contains the active ingredient Leuprolide acetate, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It is used to treat prostate cancer in men, hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (abnormal growth of uterine tissue outside the uterus), and uterine fibroids (benign growths of the uterus) in women. The injection is also indicated for premature puberty, characterised by early physical development in children due to hormonal imbalances.

Do not receive this injection if you are allergic to Leuprolide acetate or any ingredient in Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg, including Goserelin and Triptorelin.

Before starting treatment, inform your physician if you have liver or kidney impairment or undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.

Notify your doctor about any underlying medical conditions, including diabetes, seizures, heart problems with chest pain, irregular heartbeats, depression, or increased risk of osteoporosis. During treatment, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen due to increased sex steroid levels in the body.

This medicine is not recommended for patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraceptives during treatment.

Report to your doctor if: you are a man with urinary obstruction or have undergone testicle removal; your child has a progressive brain tumour; you experience spinal cord compression, urinary disorders, or haematuria (blood in urine).

Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg decreases testosterone or estrogen production, depending on the treated condition. This helps to slow the growth of cancer cells, reduce the size of uterine fibroids, and alleviate the symptoms of endometriosis and early onset of puberty.

Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg injection is usually administered in the arm, thigh or abdomen. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. During the treatment of breast cancer with Leuprosta Depot 11.25mg, it is recommended to undergo regular checkups every three months in combination with an aromatase inhibitor. Do not receive this injection if you experience any abnormal vaginal bleeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you or your child is suffering from a headache even after treating it with painkillers, vision problems, buzzing, or ringing in the ear. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor to monitor your glucose and blood sugar levels regularly. Before starting, inform your doctor if you are still mensurating.
