Product Introduction

Levipil injection is an anticonvulsant medication containing the active ingredient levetiracetam. Common side effects associated with this treatment include nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat), headache, sleepiness, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, depression, aggression, anxiety, loss of appetite, tremor, and rash.

Inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe allergic reactions or develop kidney and liver problems. During treatment with this medication, your doctor will monitor kidney function through regular blood tests. Prior to commencing this medication, inform your healthcare provider of any medical history of irregular heartbeats or salt imbalances. If you notice any slowdown in growth or unexpected puberty development in your child, consult your doctor.

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Seizures Epilepsy

How it works

It works by decreasing the abnormal signals generated by the brain, resulting in seizures. Levipil injection aids in abnormal activity at particular brain regions and halts the spread of electrical signals that lead to seizures. However, it lessens seizure episodes but does not cure epilepsy.

How to Use

Levipil injection will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. It is usually administered as an intramuscular injection. The dose, route of administration, and frequency will be decided by your doctor based on your disease condition and other factors.
