Lidovalor Patch

Lidovalor Patch is a local anaesthetic agent in the Class IB antiarrhythmic category containing the active ingredient lidocaine. It is used as a local anaesthetic to numb a specific body area before minor surgical procedures, dental work, or diagnostic tests. Administration routes include injection, spray, or topical application to relieve pain and reduce discomfort during these procedures. It may also be administered epidurally into the epidural space of the spinal cord to provide anaesthesia and pain relief during childbirth. The drug is used in emergency settings to treat ventricular arrhythmias, particularly ventricular fibrillation. Avoid this product if you have a known allergy to lidocaine or other local anaesthetics. Do not use if you have an abnormality of impulse propagation in the heart that causes decreased blood pressure and slow heart rate, such as complete heart block, as it can affect cardiac electrical conduction and may worsen these conditions. Lidovalor Patch should not be used in patients with hypovolaemia, a condition of decreased blood volume, as this can interfere with medication distribution and effectiveness.

Local anesthesia

Lidovalor Patch works by blocking nerve signals in the body, temporarily numbing the area where it is applied or injected. It inhibits the conduction of pain signals to the brain, providing local pain relief or anesthesia.

Lidovalor Patch can be applied on various body areas, such as the neck, shoulders, knees, joints, and areas affected by postherpetic neuralgia, which is pain that persists after a shingles outbreak, depending on the site of pain or discomfort. Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency based on your disease condition and other factors.
