Product Introduction

Lipodox 10mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing doxorubicin enclosed within a lipid vesicle (liposome). Cancer involves uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication. This medication is used to treat breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Patients with HIV infection face elevated risk of Kaposi's sarcoma, a malignancy affecting the lining of lymph and blood vessels. Lipodox 10mg Injection may be administered as monotherapy or in combination with other anticancer agents. This medication is not recommended in adolescents and children. Effective contraception should be used during treatment and for at least six months after the final dose. Prior to commencing Lipodox 10mg Injection, inform your doctor if you have allergies to peanuts or soya, are receiving medicines for cardiac or hepatic disorders, have diabetes, Kaposi's sarcoma, or have oral complications.

How it works

Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of Lipodox 10mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.

How to Use

Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
