Product Introduction
Lippod 20mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing doxorubicin encapsulated within lipid vesicles (liposomes). Cancer involves uncontrolled and abnormal multiplication of cells. This medication is indicated for breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma (a cancer of plasma cells), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Patients with HIV infection face the highest risk of developing Kaposi's sarcoma, a malignancy affecting the lining of lymph and blood vessels. Lippod 20mg Injection may be administered as monotherapy or combined with other anticancer medications. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents. Effective contraception is necessary during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. Before receiving Lippod 20mg Injection, inform your doctor of allergies to peanuts or soya, concurrent medications for cardiac or hepatic disorders, diabetes mellitus, Kaposi's sarcoma, or any oral complications.
Uses
Breast cancer Ovarian cancer Multiple myeloma AIDS-related Kaposiâs sarcoma
How it works
Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of Lippod 20mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.
How to Use
Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
