Product Introduction

Lippod 50mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing doxorubicin enclosed within a liposome, a closed lipid sphere. Cancer involves uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication. This medication is used to treat breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells, a type of white blood cell), and AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma. Patients with HIV infection face the highest risk of developing Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer that forms in the lining of lymph and blood vessels. Lippod 50mg Injection may be administered alone or alongside other anticancer medicines. This medication is not recommended for children and adolescents. Effective birth control should be used during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. Before receiving Lippod 50mg Injection, inform your doctor if you have allergies to peanuts or soya, are taking medicines for heart or liver disorders, have diabetes, Kaposi's sarcoma, or have oral problems.

How it works

Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of Lippod 50mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.

How to Use

Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer.
