Product Introduction
Lobet 100mg Injection is an antihypertensive agent belonging to the non-cardioselective beta blocker class. It contains labetalol as the active ingredient and is used in the treatment of hypertension and certain cardiac conditions. This medication is particularly useful in managing hypertensive emergencies, including severe hypertension during pregnancy. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its constituents. Lobet 100mg Injection may worsen bronchospasm and impair respiratory function in patients with asthma or severe COPD, and should be used with caution in these populations. The drug functions primarily to lower blood pressure but may also influence heart rate. It can cause bradycardia, particularly in patients with pre-existing cardiac rhythm disorders. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is essential during treatment. Inform your doctor or surgeon of this medication prior to any surgical procedure, as it may interact with anaesthetic agents and other medications used intraoperatively, potentially affecting blood pressure control. Patients with hepatic impairment may have elevated drug levels due to hepatic metabolism of labetalol. Dose adjustments may be required in these cases. Lobet 100mg Injection may alter blood glucose levels and can mask certain symptoms of hypoglycaemia. Close blood glucose monitoring is important for patients with diabetes taking this medication, and diabetes medication adjustments may be necessary. Avoid breastfeeding while taking this medicine, as labetalol passes into breast milk. Inform your physician of all other medications you are taking before using over-the-counter or herbal products. Your doctor will assess the potential for drug interactions with this medication.
Uses
Lobet injection uses: Treats hypertension
How it works
Lobet Injection dose works by blocking beta-1 adrenergic receptors and reduces the effects of the hormone adrenaline (epinephrine) on the heart. This results in decreased heart rate and force of contraction, leading to a reduction in cardiac output. By reducing the workload on the heart, this medicine helps lower blood pressure.
How to Use
Lobet 100mg Injection will be administered to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting. It is usually administered as an intravenous injection into a vein. Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency based on your disease condition and other factors.
