Product Introduction

Lorisk 11.25mg Injection contains the active ingredient leuprolide acetate, a gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It is indicated for the treatment of prostate cancer in men, hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (tissue normally lining the uterus that grows outside it), and uterine fibroids (benign growths of the uterus) in women. The injection is also used to treat premature puberty, characterised by early physical development in children due to hormonal imbalances.

Do not receive this injection if you are allergic to leuprolide acetate, goserelin, triptorelin, or any other ingredient in this medicine. Before receiving treatment, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney impairment. Report any undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding to your physician. This medicine is contraindicated in pregnancy or if you are planning to become pregnant.

During treatment, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen due to increased sex steroid levels in the body. Contact your doctor if this occurs. In children being treated, report any progressive brain tumour to your physician.

Before starting treatment, notify your doctor of any underlying medical conditions including diabetes, seizures, heart problems with chest pain, irregular heartbeats, depression, or increased risk of osteoporosis. This medicine is not recommended for patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraceptive methods during treatment with Lorisk 11.25mg Injection. Men with urinary obstruction or those who have undergone testicle removal should inform their doctor. Inform your physician if you experience spinal cord compression, urinary disorders, or haematuria (blood in the urine).
