Lupi FSH 75IU Injection

Lupi FSH 75IU Injection contains urofollitropin, an ovulation stimulator belonging to the gonadotropin class of medications. It is used to treat infertility in women who are not ovulating, including those with polycystic ovarian disease, and who have not responded to treatment with clomiphene citrate. It is also used to promote development of multiple follicles and enhance fertility in women undergoing in-vitro fertilization or other assisted conception procedures. It is also indicated for treatment of infertility in men due to low sperm count.

Do not take this injection if you are allergic to urofollitropin or any other ingredient in this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you have a tumour in the pituitary gland (a gland at the base of the brain that produces certain hormones, including growth hormone) or in the hypothalamus (an area beneath the thalamus that regulates body conditions including temperature and blood pressure) or in the uterus, ovaries, breast, testicles, or prostate gland.

Before starting treatment, you will be evaluated for underactive thyroid problems, hormone levels, and tumours of the pituitary and hypothalamus. Do not take this medicine if you have ovarian cysts that are not due to polycystic ovarian disease, vaginal bleeding, early menopause, structural problems in reproductive organs, if your uterus has been removed, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Inform your doctor immediately if you experience abdominal pain and swelling, weight gain, diarrhoea, difficulty breathing, or decreased urination. Inform your doctor if you have liver problems or a history of blood clotting disease before starting treatment with Lupi FSH 75IU Injection.

Infertility in women

In the absence of sufficient endogenous luteinizing hormone (LH), Lupi FSH 75IU Injection bind to the follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSH), resulting in ovulation. It also attaches to the LH receptor, causing appropriate hormone release and treats infertility in women.

Lupi FSH 75IU Injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic setting. It is given as an intramuscular injection (into your muscles) or under the skin. Do not self-administer the injection. Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity, body weight, and other factors.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. If you have missed any dosing appointments, inform your doctor and schedule immediately. Lupi FSH 75IU Injection can increase your risk of ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside of the womb) if you have a history of fallopian tube disease, miscarriage, multiple pregnancies (twins and triplets), and birth defects in the baby. Your doctor will regularly perform ultrasound scans and blood tests to monitor your response to the treatment.
