Product Introduction

Lupride Depot 22.5mg injection contains the active ingredient leuprolide, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It is indicated for the treatment of prostate cancer in men, hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (a condition in which tissue that normally lines the interior of the uterus grows outside of it), and uterine fibroids (noncancerous growths of the uterus) in women. Lupride Depot 22.5mg is also used to treat premature puberty, which is characterised by early physical development in children due to hormonal imbalances.

Do not use this injection if you are allergic to leuprolide or any of its ingredients, including goserelin and triptorelin. Before receiving this medicine, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney impairment. Tell your doctor if you have undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding. Do not use this treatment if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. During treatment, existing symptoms may worsen due to increased sex steroids in the body; discuss any concerns with your doctor. Inform your doctor if your child has a progressive brain tumour.

Before starting treatment, notify your doctor of underlying medical conditions, including diabetes, seizures, heart problems with chest pain, irregular heartbeats, depression, or increased risk of bone thinning (osteoporosis). This medicine is not recommended for patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraceptives while taking Lupride Depot 22.5mg injection. Inform your doctor if you are a man with urinary obstruction or have undergone surgical removal of the testicles. Tell your doctor if you experience pressure on the spinal cord, urinary disorders, or haematuria (blood in the urine).
