Product Introduction
Luprova 11.25mg injection contains the active ingredient leuprolide acetate, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It is indicated for treating prostate cancer in men, hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (tissue that normally lines the interior of the uterus growing outside it), and uterine fibroids (benign growths of the uterus) in women. The injection is also used to treat central precocious puberty, characterised by early physical development in children due to hormonal imbalances. Do not receive this injection if you are allergic to leuprolide acetate or any ingredients in Luprova 11.25mg. Inform your physician before receiving this medicine if you have liver or kidney impairment. Notify your doctor if you have undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding. This treatment is contraindicated in pregnancy or if you are planning to conceive. During treatment, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen due to increased sex steroid levels in the body; discuss this with your physician. Inform your doctor if your child has a progressive brain tumour. Before starting treatment, disclose underlying medical conditions including diabetes, seizures, cardiac problems with chest pain, irregular heartbeats, depression, or increased risk of bone density loss (osteoporosis). This medicine is not recommended for patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraception during Luprova 11.25mg injection therapy. Inform your doctor if you are a man with urinary obstruction or have undergone testicular surgery. Report to your doctor if you experience spinal cord compression and develop urinary disorders or haematuria (blood in urine).
