Product Introduction

Macitent 10mg Tablet contains macitentan, an endothelin receptor antagonist. It is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)—elevated blood pressure in the arteries within the lungs—in adults on a long-term basis. The medicine may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other PAH treatments. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children; use in the paediatric population is not recommended. Inform your doctor if you have hypersensitivity to macitentan, or if you have hepatic or pulmonary disorders. Inform your doctor if you are planning pregnancy, suspect pregnancy, or are breastfeeding, as the medicine may impair male fertility. Discuss your complete medical history with your doctor prior to commencing treatment.

How it works

Macitent 10mg Tablet widens the arteries of the lung and makes the arteries pump blood from the heart, which passes through it. It lowers the blood pressure, relieves the symptoms, and involves the improvising of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
