Product Introduction
Mahagaba M 75mg Capsule is a prescription medicine used to manage neuropathic pain. It contains two active ingredients: Pregabalin, an anticonvulsant that reduces nerve hyperactivity, and Methylcobalamin, a form of Vitamin B12 that supports repair and protection of damaged nerve cells. This combination addresses symptoms such as burning, tingling, or shooting pain observed in conditions including diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia (pain following shingles), and other neurological disorders. This medicine requires cautious use in patients with kidney impairment, and dose modification may be necessary based on renal function status. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by your doctor. Do not discontinue this medicine abruptly without medical guidance, as sudden cessation may result in withdrawal effects or deterioration of your condition.
Uses
Treatment of neuropathic pain Used in conditions like diabetic nerve pain, trigeminal neuralgia, postherpetic neuralgia, and peripheral neuropathy
How it works
Pregabalin works by reducing the transmission of pain signals in the brain and spinal cord. It blocks certain calcium channels in nerve cells, helping relieve chronic nerve pain. Methylcobalamin supports nerve regeneration by promoting the formation of protective myelin around nerves and improving overall nerve health.
