Product Introduction

Maltoxy 50mg Injection 10ml contains ferric carboxymaltose as the active substance. It is an iron replacement product used to treat iron-deficiency anemia (reduced red blood cells due to inadequate iron levels) in adults and paediatric patients who cannot tolerate oral iron or where oral iron supplements have proven ineffective. It is also indicated for iron-deficiency anemia in adults with chronic kidney disease who are not undergoing dialysis. This medicine is not recommended for paediatric patients under one year of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any other ingredients. Do not receive it if you have anemia not caused by iron deficiency, iron overload (excess iron in the body), or difficulties utilising iron. Inform your doctor if you have rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infection, liver disorders, or low phosphate levels in blood. Incorrect administration of this injection may cause irritation and persistent discoloration at the injection site. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before starting treatment with Maltoxy 50mg Injection 10ml. The most common side effects include nausea, hypertension, flushing, injection site reactions, skin reactions, vomiting, and dizziness. Tell your doctor if you have experienced serious allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions to other injectable iron preparations.
