Product Introduction

Materna HCG HP 5000IU Injection is an antineoplastic agent belonging to the class of luteinising hormone analogues, containing the active ingredient gonadotrophin. This medication is primarily indicated for fertility treatment to stimulate ovulation in women undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF). The medicine may be used to stimulate testosterone production in males with hypogonadism (insufficient testosterone production by the body). It is also used to treat undescended testicles (failure of testes to descend from higher to lower position). Common side effects associated with this medicine include pain, redness, and swelling at the injection site, headache, fatigue, depression, and fluid retention. Inform your healthcare provider if these side effects concern you or persist beyond the expected duration. This medicine may increase the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Should you experience lower abdominal pain, rapid weight gain, or difficulty breathing, contact your doctor. Materna HCG HP 5000IU Injection is not recommended for pregnant women, as it may harm the developing foetus. Exercise caution if you have a medical history of blood clots, heart disease, liver disease, or kidney disease; use should be determined by your healthcare professional. If you are allergic to this injection, report this to your doctor immediately.

How it works

It is a type of gonadotrophins, which works by promoting ovarian follicular growth and maturation to increase the chance of pregnancy in women and increasing sperm count in men. It helps the reproductive organs to function normally by stimulating the production of other hormones such as estrogen and testosterone, which are important for fetal growth and development.

How to Use

These injections are available only with a prescription from a healthcare professional. This injection will be administered into the muscle or under the skin. Do not self-administer this medicine.
