Product Introduction

Meqsel 0.5mg Tablet is a prescription medication containing Trametinib as its active constituent. It belongs to the MEK inhibitor class of drugs, used in targeted cancer therapy.

Meqsel 0.5mg is primarily prescribed for treating certain types of melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially in patients with the BRAF V600 genetic mutation. By blocking the MEK enzyme in the cancer cell growth pathway, it helps slow down or stop the spread of malignant cells.

Patients with melanoma or NSCLC often seek information about Meqsel 0.5mg composition, dosage, and manufacturer details to understand the medicine. Clinical data on Meqsel 0.5mg demonstrates effectiveness when administered under medical supervision. Healthcare providers may suggest alternative treatments depending on individual patient conditions.

Uses

Meqsel 0.5mg uses are: Metastatic melanoma Use in combination with dabrafenib for improved treatment outcomes of melanoma Used in treatment of non-small cell lung carcinoma Used in treating metastatic anaplastic thyroid cancer Metastatic solid tumours

How it works

Meqsel Tablet works by blocking the activity of a protein called Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK), which is part of the Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway. This pathway is critical in regulating cell growth, division, and survival. It helps slow or stop cancer cell growth and spread by blocking MEK.

How to Use

Meqsel 0.5mg Tablet is usually taken orally as a tablet. It can be taken either with or can also be taken without food. Your specific condition, such as medical conditions, age, weight, and overall health, will decide the dosage and duration of treatment. It is essential to follow the instructions provided by the healthcare provider or pharmacist when taking. Generally, the tablet should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. You should not crush, chew, or break the tablet. If a dose is missed, it is important to take it as soon as possible unless it is almost time for the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped, and the regular dosing schedule should be resumed. It would help if you did not take two drug doses together to compensate for a missed dose.
