Product Introduction

Meroart 1gm Injection is a carbapenem antibiotic containing Meropenem. It is indicated for treatment of various bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including skin, lung, urinary, and gynaecological infections. It is also used for prevention of surgical site infections.

The medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics, including penicillins or cephalosporins. Inform your physician if you have experienced severe diarrhoea following prior antibiotic use.

Meroart 1gm Injection may reduce serum concentrations of valproic acid, a medication used to treat seizures and certain psychiatric conditions, potentially decreasing its effectiveness. If you are taking valproic acid, your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose or consider alternative treatments.
