Product Introduction

Meromer 1gm Injection is a carbapenem antibiotic containing Meropenem as the active ingredient. It is used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including infections of the skin, lungs, urinary tract, and gynaecological sites. It is also used for prevention of surgical site infections.

Meromer 1gm Injection is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to other beta-lactam antibiotics, such as penicillins or cephalosporins. If you have experienced severe diarrhoea after taking other antibiotics, inform your physician before treatment.

Meromer 1gm Injection can reduce the serum concentrations of valproic acid, a medication used to treat seizures and certain mental health conditions, potentially decreasing its effectiveness. If you are taking valproic acid, your healthcare provider may need to adjust the dose or consider alternative treatments.

Before starting treatment with Meromer 1gm Injection, inform your physician of any pre-existing medical conditions, including epilepsy, kidney or liver problems, or if you are on a salt-controlled diet. During treatment, your doctor may recommend blood tests to monitor your blood cell count and kidney function.

If you suspect pregnancy or plan to have a baby, inform your doctor about all medications you have been taking recently, including herbal supplements and over-the-counter products.
