Product Introduction
Micazar 50mg injection contains micafungin, an antifungal medication belonging to the echinocandins class. It is used to treat invasive fungal infections caused by candida and aspergillus species. These infections occur in patients with weakened immune systems, including those undergoing organ transplants, receiving chemotherapy, or with conditions such as HIV/AIDS. The medication is also indicated for oesophageal candidiasis. In cases where fungal infection is suspected but the specific pathogen has not been identified, micafungin may be used as empirical antifungal therapy.
Patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to micafungin or any components of this injection should not use this medication. Any known allergies, medical conditions, or potential contraindications should be discussed with the treating doctor before starting treatment.
The safety of this injection in infants depends on the specific clinical situation and requires evaluation by a healthcare provider. Use in children should be determined by the treating doctor. Elderly patients often have multiple medical conditions. All existing conditions and current medications should be communicated to the treating doctor to avoid potential interactions and complications.

How to Use

Regularly monitor your liver function, and if you experience symptoms like jaundice or abdominal pain, tell your healthcare provider. During its infusions, watch for signs of infusion reactions like fever or difficulty breathing. If you have a weakened immune system, are on immunosuppressive medications, or have kidney problems, discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.
