Product Introduction

Monoferric 1gm Injection contains Iron (III) Isomaltoside as its active ingredient. It is classified as an anti-anemic medicine and is used as an iron replacement therapy to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults who are intolerant to oral iron or have shown inadequate response to oral iron preparations. The medicine is also used to treat iron deficiency anemia in patients with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis and cannot receive oral iron supplementation. Due to limited safety and efficacy data, Monoferric 1gm Injection is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age, including children and adolescents.

Do not use Monoferric 1gm Injection if you have an allergy to Iron (III) Isomaltoside or any component of the formulation. The medicine should not be used if your anemia is not caused by iron deficiency (such as haemolytic anemia), if you have iron overload or impaired iron utilisation, or if you have a history of severe allergic reactions to other injectable iron preparations or active liver disease.

Inform your doctor before receiving this injection if you have a history of medicine allergy, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, or severe asthma. Also notify your doctor if you have eczema, other known allergies, active bacterial infection in your blood, or reduced liver function.
